CA Permanent Residence Online Applications: Hire Top Spousal Sponsorship Lawyer

In September 2022, IRCC announced that it will transition to all-new permanent residence applications from paper to online! What's more, it also announced that it would be removing limits on off-campus work hours for international students.

Toronto immigration lawyer Ivan Steele is helping immigrants better understand the new permanent residence application process with his education campaign.

“A big shift was recently announced by the government of Canada in how permanent residence applications are processed and how international students are allowed to function in Canada,” explains Ivan Steele. “These are huge changes that will have an immediate impact on Canadian immigration.”

So what exactly does this mean for you? Well, the transition to online applications is expected to have far greater implications than a mere form change.

This will modernize the Canadian immigration system and it is designed to improve your experience and make the application process smoother. In the past, paper applications have often led to mail issues, processing delays, and ultimately loss of status. The new online application system should eliminate these issues.

It will also give you more flexibility. Plus, you will receive immediate confirmation that you've successfully submitted your application.

The online application system is currently underway, with the first batch of categories already using the new system since September 23, 2022. “This includes provincial nominee programs, spousal and partner sponsorships, and child sponsorship,” explained Ivan Steele. “In October, start-up visa applicants and temporary resident permit holders applying for permanent residence will also transition to online applications,” he added.

By end of October, all categories will transition to online applications. The full list can be found on the official website of the Government of Canada.

In the new education drive, Ivan Steele Law also addressed the second part of IRCC’s announcement, which pertains to the removal of limits on off-campus work hours for international students. The decision comes as IRCC strives to address Canada’s labour shortage - and, according to Ivan Steele Law, will provide international students with greater opportunities to gain work experience in Canada.

So, as an international student, you can acquire that precious Canadian work experience much faster and earn more income!

Based in Toronto, Ivan Steele has years of experience in the area of immigration law and a proven track record in handling spousal/partner sponsorship, Express Entry, and provincial nominee program cases. If you need any help with your visa or permanent residence application, he's the guy to call!

Change is inevitable - and this time, it's for the better for all parties involved. Sure, as with anything else, it may take some time to get used to - but ask yourself this:

Would you rather gather a bunch of papers, send them by mail (hoping against hope nothing gets lost in the process), and then wait for confirmation to arrive - also by mail?

Or, would you rather get everything done online without killing a forest and leaving your future in the hands of the post office?

That's what I thought!
