Bonkers is a new casual dating app launching in May 2023. To ensure the
safety of its users, Bonkers works in partnership with the personal safety
platform WalkSafe.
Integrated into Bonkers is the WalkSafe tool, which allows users to
type in a destination and share the route with selected contacts. This
information, including the expected time of arrival, lets friends and
family stay informed of a user’s movements.
It also has an automatic alert function that notifies friends and
family when a user fails to arrive at their destination on time. The
WalkSafe platform provides police crime data, empowering users with the
information to choose a route that they feel comfortable with.
In addition to this, Bonkers also has a SOS feature where users can
alert their trusted circle when they are in an uncomfortable situation.
Other safety features on Bonkers include facial recognition, a user
rating system, blocked screenshots, and a verification process.
In terms of the matching experience, users have the choice between
two sides of the platform. The ‘Bonk’ side is for casual fun, whereas
the ‘Bonkers’ side is for meaningful connections, explained TechRound.
“As we all know, the dating app world is saturated. We
wanted to change the dating game for good. We can, of course, continue
to enhance our features in an effort to create a safe space virtually
for our users, so that they can interact and match with confidence with
safety at the forefront”, said Bonkers’ Co-Founder Jay Dodds.
