83 Movie Review

83 is a Hindi language sports drama film directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Deepika Padukone, Kabir Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Reliance Entertainment. Based on the Indian Cricket Team led by Kapil Dev, which won the 1983 Cricket World Cup, 83's script was co-written by Khan with co-writers Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, Vasan Bala, and Sumit Arora. The movie features an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh along with Jiiva and Pankaj Tripathi.

83’ Plot

Kapil Dev, a talented all-rounder in his prime, was made the captain of Team India. Lots of individual talent led to an inspired Indian team. Up until that point, this is the best 83 movie review. Indian team members were still learning how to play like a cohesive unit. Krishnamachari Shrikant was right to say that a person needs to be mad enough to believe he could beat these West Indies.

During the 1980s, as scoring records continued to be broken and cricket was seen as a game dominated by fast bowlers, Colin Croft joined the regular bowling attack. Only if the bowler hit one of the best batsmen in cricket at that time, Viv Richards, would they have had any chance of success.

As an underdog, you need to believe that you can win. And this Indian team did not have the faith required to win. The Mohinder Amarnath and Sunil Gavaskar were experienced pitchers with talent, but this Indian team still was scared of successful teams like the Garners or the Roberts. They still lacked a spark.

Despite winning the first match and coming close to victory in two consecutive games, India was thrashed by a negative press that called them a fluke. The critics who questioned their capabilities were slammed for being unfair and that they would eat their words if India won the World Cup. Nobody had any interest in watching them as a result of their past performance, resulting in falling attendance. And after winning the world cup in that “83 movie all were over the moon after defeating them

Conclusion

In 1983, the Lord’s Cricket Ground saw India complete a remarkable comeback, beating the West Indies twice in one week and returning them to becoming a force in the cricketing world. The Indian cricket team enters the famous 3rd world cup in England, but almost nobody expects them to do well. Indian was looked down on when Kapil Dev was made captain; however, their first two games were successful, and they would have been qualified for the quarter-finals if their next game hadn't ended in a loss.

which would have gotten all the way to the final. They beat West Indies and Zimbabwe but lost against West Indies and Australia to nearly go out of the tournament. Despite having 1/4 of its members declared "back" by halfway through the game, Kapil Dev plays brilliant innings that lead India not only into the semi-finals against West Indies but also into the finals against them for a match for a place at Lords.
