The Australian stock market benchmark index  S&P/ASX 200 is in green today (12 October 2022). It registered a gain of 1.50 points to 6646.50 points at 12:21 PM AEDT. In the last five trading sessions, the index has dropped 2.40%, and in one year, it has lost 8.64%.

On Wednesday, more sectors were trading in the red, although the index marked some gains. The financial sector registered the highest gains, as it rose by 1.31%. The utilities sector marked the maximum loses, it was down 1.31% at 12:50 PM AEDT.
