As Heavy Rains Lash Mumbai Landslide Reported In Ghatkopar & Wall Collapses In Mumbra

reported in Panchsheel Nagar at Ghatkopar.
This comes in the midst of heavy rainfall lashing Mumbai. The
Mumbai Fire Brigade has brought to light that fire vehicles have reached the
location.
Based on accounts, so far no casualties have been reported.
Further, a house was also damaged where the landslide
was reported.
For several days now, Mumbai has been seeing heavy rainfall.
This has caused landslides, waterlogging and immense vehicular congestion.
It has been reported that in the last 12 hours, Mumbai
has registered 95.81 mm of rainfall. Further, Sion Circle
faces considerable waterlogging.
In lieu
of the heavy rainfall alert, Maharashtra CM Eknath
Shinde has asked officials to keep vigil and directed that NDRF squads
be kept ready.
Earlier last week, a landslide was reported at Pedder Road
in south Mumbai near an under-construction building. This resulted in a cracked
footpath throughout the stretch.
