It is important to have an overall theme in mind for your readers. Basically, your content must produce a big picture that will produce a following of people that care about the content you provide.

FOUR TYPES OF CONTENT
There are at least four types of content that must be part of your overall content marketing strategy. I have provided the four different types of content below to help you use valuable content as a marketing tool that will turn your prospects into long term clients.
1. “How to” and Educational Content
Content that educates -This type of content can consist of your personal story of why you started your business venture, how your business is unique, and what the benefits are of your product or service.
“How to” content - This type of content can come in various forms and can make the information you provide fun, interesting, and valuable. It can come in the form of a newsletter containing specific advice and tips. Content in the form of webinars, teleconferences, and seminars allow your prospects to engage and learn more about what you and your business have to offer.
2. Reviews or testimonials
This can include content about you and your business. To make it easier on you, it is recommended that you automate this process by creating video success stories of your clients or customers. If they are camera shy, then have them fill out a survey via web form (use affiliate link). Sharing endorsements from happy clients or customers on Branch Out on Facebook and Google Places are great resources to share reviews and testimonials about you and your business. Another source of content can be in the form of articles that are written about you in various publications.
3. Content that Closes
Valuable or well written content has the ability to convert your prospects into long term clients or customers. People will be more than happy to buy from you. Content that closes can come in the form of testimonials from clients. Customer generated content is proof of your loyalty to existing clients. This is content that will further motivate people to buy your product or service. Even case studies have an influence in the buying decision. Another form of priceless content can be survey information because most people like to look at results.
4. Content From Other Experts
Don’t know what to write about? Well, stealing other peoples content is not an option. You can summarize other peoples blogs or websites to add more personality to your blog. Doing so is especially helpful in your early stages of writing copy until you create your own valuable content in abundance. You can do this by re-tweeting a blog post, share topic specific articles from the websites you visit on a regular basis. Don’t be afraid to share content from other experts in your field of business. This will give your audience additional resources to assist them with their goals.
As you can see, the creation of content goes a lot deeper then just a random blog post. Your content is something that should and will serve your business over a long period of time. The main reason you create content is to build trust with your prospects and provide valuable information that truly beneficial for growing a success business. This is the key to be successful with building relationships with a loyal audience. And on a final note, the content on your website or blog majorly helps with search engine optimization. What a bonus!
