The NIFT hostel has stringent deadlines and is very well regulated. Hence, students are found hanging outside the college campus during weekends. The local cafés are a common area for students to relax. Some of the famous cafés are Hugs and Mugs, The Belgian Waffle Company, Leopold café, and Barista. Central Park is another popular hangout destination. It is located only 20 minutes away from the NIFT campus. Students often plan weekend trips to the Kharghar hills as well.
