Eligibility Criteria


For UG Courses:-

  • one must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) with science subjects such as biology, maths and chemistry. The bachelor’s degree is usually five years long inclusive of 1 year (2 semesters) of internship in the 5th year of the course.


For PG Courses:-

  • If any candidate is interested in further studies, then one can apply for Master of Architecture (M. Arch). After completing B. Arch candidates are eligible for this course.  It is a 2 years long course. They can also specialize in a particular field. Some of the popular specializations such as Lighting, Green building, Construction management, Fire protection engineering, Building transportation systems, Acoustics design and construction are also available apart from many others.


Career

After completing graduation and post-graduation, several types of job opportunity are available for fresh graduates. They can work with construction companies wherein they are asked to serve as a designer. Some architects even work independently and earn their livelihood through consultancy fees which entirely depends upon the talents and profile as well as work experience.


There are also several jobs available in the Public sector which will include departments such as

Salary

In the architecture field, graduates are served handsome salary package. But it also depends on the colleges from which you have pursued architecture course. Those students who are graduate from IITs get the best packages i.e. up to Rs. 18 lakh per annum. However, fresh architecture graduates can expect their starting salary to vary from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh depending on your academic performance and college of graduation.
