Apple to Release Upgraded iPad Mini

iPad mini 3, third in line of Apple’s iPad Mini series, was rather received as an iPad 2 mini with just a couple of updated specs and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Having learned the lesson, Apple now plans to release iPad Mini 4 with serious updates including an A8 processor and 802.11 ac Wi-Fi.

The improvement in chip and Wi-Fi were something Apple should have delivered in the last generation. However, this year, Apple will incorporate the processor and Wi-Fi of iPhone 6 into the iPad mini4 in hopes to capture the market once again.

On the other hand, Apple released the successor of iPad Air which featured a lighter design and Apple’s latest A8x, octa-core graphics processing chip.

Both iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3 are available in the market. Comparing the prices with benefits, a consumer can see that Apple is actually charging $100 more for just the addition of Touch ID. That, and a new Gold color variant.

The recent report also stated that Apple has been directing delivery times for MacBooks and iPads and the only exclusions are 15-inch” MacBook Pro and desktop Macs.

Apple offers retailers with greater leniency with regards to pricing when it comes to clearing out current stock to make way for the new one.

Apple began restricting the MacBook Air’s shipments and inventory from last month in order to free up more shelf space for the next-gen Intel Broadwell chips. Because of this strategy, it is also speculated that a new MacBook Air is in works. This model is said to feature a redesigned chassis and 12” Retina display. Few parts of the much-awaited Notebook have been seen.

The company is ready for a media representation today in Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Fransisco. In fact, the event has gone live just a couple of hours ago. What comes to light will be interesting but the focus is expected to be over Apple Watch.
