Analysis of Typical Accidents and Safety Management of Overhead Crane

javascript:nicTemp();The appearance of the bridge crane is a metal bridge which lifts and carries good within permanent span and is widely used in the plant, warehouse and open yard. The overhead and gantry crane have special characteristics. Without strict management and inspection, that overhead crane for sale accidents happen will cause injuries and deaths. Ever increasing of industrial technology makes more varieties of overhead cranes. Main dangers causing accidents are no signals, overloading with unqualified lifting appliances, safety devices out of order, unclear or misleading conducting signals, heavy weights loosely bond, obliquely hanging and no crosser at edge. By analyzing 314 crane accidents according to different types, overhead crane accidents are 59 accounting for 18.8%, and the rate is the highest among all crane machinery. So it is a must to enhance education of operators on operational rules and standards to improve quality of operators.
Crane injury and accident refers to personal injury and death as well as equipment damage caused by mechanical tools and lifted goods during the working process. It is estimated that accidents caused by cranes account for a large ratio up to 25% or so, among fatality accounting for 15% or so. 3 unhooking accidents of lifting appliances’ strike accounting for 50%, and 5 overwind accidents account for 38.5% of broken rope accidents, and 2 accidents of overload among 108 accidents account for 1.9% of the total accidents. According to statistical results, among 108 typical accidents, hanging things strike accounts for 25%, and the dead account for 20..7%, which is the first. The next is broken rope is respectively 12% and 12.1%, and t third is extrusion accident which accounts for respectively 12% and 9.3%.
