An Island Recognized for Its Tranquility and Natural Beauty

Located in the last corner of Greece, Paxos is the smallest island in the Ionian sea and is famous as heaven among the tourists who prefer to visit the places of tranquility and natural beauty. The island is located at a distance of ten miles from the mainland of Greece and nine miles from the nearby town Corfu, that also acts as the main source of reaching the island due to the presence of an airport. Well, this might surprise you the island of Paxos do not have its own airport and the tourists visiting this island have to first reach the Corfu and then hire a boat to enjoy their vacation at the Paxos island. Interestingly, in recent years the island has emerged as one of the highly preferred holiday destinations among the tourists searching for some peaceful and romantic place.

It would be interesting to know that the Paxos is only across the world where you find pebbles on the beaches despite sand. It is therefore recommended to put shoes while walking over the shores of beaches.

Where to stay at Paxos Island:  Although the island is small from the geographical point of view as compared to other islands located in Greece.
