American songwriters use emotion to churn out ingenious lyrics

Planning on writing lyrics for a song?  You don’t have to go for extensive education or music theory classes to be a good song writer.  It is an inborn and natural talent.  Many times people spend years and years studying music. They try to vocalise lyrics continuously and may even be great performers, but that does not mean that they can write a song that captures the attention of the audiences. Why does this happen?

Understanding music, lyrics, rhyming and melodies, deeply from the heart is what makes a proficient American Songwriter.  Sometimes getting a formal degree and then trying to pen words of a song successfully may not do the trick. Many famous American songwriters have churned out gripping words without any formal education. They have rattled words from their heart directly to the mike. These talented playbacks have ingeniously crooned the melodies playing at the back of their minds on their drums, keyboards and guitars, at a seconds notice. This is what we term as talent on its own. This is what we can call a gripping and fulfilling experience provided by a great artist!

The lyrics are written, notes are created and moods and chords are added to it. Song writing is of extreme importance in a song and should not be underestimated. Just like authors have to face writer’s block sometimes, songwriters may also feel that they are not getting anywhere with song lyrics in their mind. It’s not easy being a songwriter it needs a lot of brilliant writing to come out with something interesting.

Poetry can be a musical song when the thoughts are channelled well. It’s a means the songwriter gets to express his emotions. It’s a great way to speak out thoughts and feelings.  People can enjoy what is presented to them only if it’s the call of the heart. The distractions can be put aside and the feelings can be let loose with some inspiration. Emotions on paper have more value and can bring great value to the song. If someone tries to decipher the lyrics, the volume of emotion hidden in the song can be seen.

An American songwriter relies on his burst of energy and can hatch a new song to enliven the audiences. The songwriters may have distinct and unique styles of writing. The tempo and the texture may vary for different artists. Some singers may produce songs in oblivion while either may be able to scribble away undeterred in the middle of a party. Others may sit at a restaurant seeping a cooler while they scrawl away frantically on paper napkins. It is entirely the choice and mood of the American songwriter.

The thoughts have to be channelled and penned down. Focus is the key and it is the forte of an experienced artist and song performer. It can take time because the lyrics are busy bristling in the mind. But there is no specified time limit to complete the song. Leonard Cohen, Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry, Doc Watson, or Paul McCartney all went through the same trysts. To create beautiful music an American songwriter needs a passion for poetry, language and music. Songs have a message to be passed to the audiences and are not just for the sake of entertainment.
