All About the Nissan Elgrand MPV

The Nissan Elgrand is a 4/5-door minivan marketed since 1997 by Nissan and available in 3 models, the E50, the E51, and the E52 which was released in 2010. It can accommodate 7 or 8 passengers and is presently on the 3rd generation (E52).

Interior and Exterior

In late 2002, the E51 Elgrand was introduced with an increase in wheelbase for a longer and wider body. The E51 came fitted with a 2.5L VQ25DE V6 producing 140 KW (188 HP) at 6400 rpm and 3.5L VQ35DE V6 mated with a 5-speed automatic Tiptronic transmission. 

The E52 Nissan Elgrand was debuted in 2010 equipped with a 2.5L QR25DE straight-4 engine producing 120 KW (161 HP) at 5200 rpm and 3.5L VQ35DE V6 with a 7-speed Xtronic CVT or automatic transmission. The E52 is also filled with some innovative features like the Collision Avoidance Assist, Around View Monitor park assist, rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitor, active front lighting, radar cruise control, and Dynamic Vehicle Control. The Elgrand offers an average fuel economy of approximately 9.8 km/L – 10 km/L.
