Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) Salaries in India

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) salary is very good because the demand of AME is high. Basically Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is three year license program which is regulated by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation and Gov. of India.

An Aircraft Maintenance Engineering deals with the safety, security and maintenance of an aircraft. It is very responsible job because the whole security is in the hand of an AME in the ground level. An AME can secure an aircraft in the technical level and issued the flight to take off; it means only an AME are authorized to issue Flight Releasing Certificate (FRC).

As we know that India is the fastest growing aviation market in the world and is in third position after US and China. Only AME license holder person can do job as an AME no other person can do this. In India, there are few institutes and are limited seats here so, the demand of an AME is high and no drought salary is also become high.

After gaining AME Basic License an individual has to go 1 year training period and there, he gets 10K to 20K per month as stipend. After completing this training an individual will get AME Type Rated License. Now he can do job in any country as AME minimum 6 Lack to 10 Lack per year salary package.

AME license holder candidate can do job in Indian as well as Foreign airlines. The demand of Indian AME is also good in Gulf countries and the salary package is very good. India AME gets salary minimums 3 lacks to 5 lacks per month. The placement of AME in Indian airlines is very simple after completing this three year license program and one year training period.

We know that India want to become more powerful in the world and also want to be aviation hub. To become an aviation hub India try to make an aircraft through the scheme of“Make in India” which is given by our hon’ble Prime MinisterShri Narendra Modi.

India also Boeing 2,100 aircraft over 20 years. So, the demand of AME is increase in India.  Approx. 50 AME institute are in India which is approved by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Gov. of India.
