Acne Rosacea Causes

The root cause of acne rosacea is still not known and it is a mystery. It is a chronic skin disorder which normally affects the central portion of the facial skin such as nose, eyes, arms and neck. It is long term disorder which causes the development of redness on forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. This redness causes the blood vessels on the skin to enlarge which is then noticeable through the skin in the form of small and thin lines.

Heredity, genetics, development of gastrointestinal disease, prolonged exposure to sunrays and cold weather, environment; medications that lead to the enlargement of blood vessels are some of the factors responsible for development of acne rosacea. Foods and beverages such as consumption of coffee, alcohol, spicy food and hot foods aggravate and promote the appearance of acne rosacea and worsen the condition.


Intake of medicines such as hypertension medicines, corticosteroids are also responsible for the appearance of acne rosacea. People belonging to the age group of 30-50, people with fair and light skin mainly the Scottish and Irish, woman undergoing menopause are likely to develop acne rosacea on the facial skin, so likelihood is also the culprit for causing acne rosacea. Other factors such as rigorous and harsh exercise, emotional factors such as anxiety, stress, anger, hot baths and showers, saunas are also responsible for the development of acne rosacea.

Acne rosacea is a disorder that persists for longer period of time and is considered as non-curable disease which can appear on facial skin, arms, eyes and scalp. This rosacea is commonly seen in adults belonging to 30-50 years of age group and even in teenagers in some cases.
