A New Hair Trend in 72th Annual Golden Globes

by Ann Brian Fashion Hair Style
Obviously, every major show of awards season gives rise to trends in hairdo, makeup or dress. In this article, we will only focus on the hair side.

If you observe the pics of celebrities and stars turning up on the red carpet of the 72th Annual Golden Globes Awards, it may be not difficult to discover one element in common: deep side parts. After seasons of parting hair straight down the middle, the taking sides style seems to be top on the list of hair trends, narrowly prevailing over updos.

Old Hollywood waves go perfectly with these deep side parts, proved by Jessica Chastain, Allison Williams, Amy Adams and Reese Withspoon’s showing off their stunning hair makeovers. Besides, a modern short bob matches this style charmingly as well, like Kristen Wiig’s fab hairdo.

Obsessed with one of these enchanting hair looks? Here are two step-by step instructions on how to re-create these looks at home, offered by celebrity hairstylists.

To re-create Kristen Wiig’s hairstyle:
Grab medium parts of hair, beginning from the top of the head, and then use a curling iron to curl the hair in sections toward the face. After that, wind each curl into a pinwheel and pin it flat to the head. Spritz the hair a little bit by using a finishing spray.

Remove the pins after the hair cools. Use a bristled brush to loosely brush out the lengths. Finish by spritz a finishing spray and a shine pomade, so that the hair appears shiny and steers clear of fly-aways further.

To Re-create Reese Witherspoon’s hairstyle:
Start with creating a deep side part with a comb. Apply John FriedaFrizz Ease Beyond Smooth Frizz-Immunity Primer to towel-dried hair. Mist lightly from roots to mid-shaft with a blow-out spray. Apply John Frieda Root Booster blow-dry lotion to hair roots.

Blow dry the top front section in a sweeping direction with hair drier and a medium-size boar bristle brush. Blow dry and rest of the hair smooth. After that, curl the hair using a 1/4-inch curling iron from mid-shaft to hair ends, but remember to leave the ends more undone.

Pull all the hair over one shoulder and secure it with bobby pins. Spritz the hair lightly with flexible-hold spray.

To have voluminous locks like Reese Witherspoon’s you can make use of hair extensions to add length, volume and even color.
