A Closer Look On CAA Making Delhi Look More Like Islamabad

by Nishi Singh Educationist
How much ever you try to understand the current scenario of India, it might not be feasible to understand what the nation might try to achieve. But for those that have understood it, it’s undoubtedly being displayed on the streets through the protests and other rallies to abolish NRC and CAA. Latest news headlines have shown that the prime minister of India has tried to put a positive spin on the recently bought out citizenship amendment act in the country.

Many believe that the act was to specifically target the Indian Muslims and bring about a religious record of the same that is happening in Pakistan’s minorities. He said that if he hadn’t risen the citizenship amendment law, had we not seen the atrocities that were perpetrated towards Pakistan’s minorities. However, all over the world, India has been in the spotlight for some time now because of the act and ETV Bharat news provide live coverage on the situation in the country. While many might be believing that the attention might have turned towards the treating of minorities in Pakistan, but India is the centre of attention as of now.

Several publications from over the world have stated in their latest news headlines that is the CAA a way for India to become a Hindu nation? Has it been introduced to unleash the despair and fury of Muslims in the country? Or is it a play of Modi to have an anti-Muslimism country after all?

Many cases stated that the perspective of CAA was altered in some ways, but still, it hadn’t bought any focus on the situation of Pakistan as of now. However, ETV Bharat news also conveys that this comes after the effect of abolishing special status to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and making it come under the Delhi-controlled union territory. Thus, sparks emerged towards the way Modi treats minorities in the country.

But the remarks made by Modi prove to have brought some glory towards India, but that’s entirely inaccurate. Though Pakistan might not be that famous on a global scale, the USA has once again started engaging with Pakistan’s military and even resumed training them.

But then to win anyhow in this time while implementing the act, the chances of winning are quite slim, and the hope lies on demonising Pakistan to win the argument. It's one way through which the ruling party have always seemed to have succeeded. Hence, many might fail to see through the façade, but then the spotlight of having any attention towards Pakistan will fail, and through the action of the government in India, the spotlight will always remain on the country.
