Jobsite table saws are one of the brilliant tools used in a woodworking workshop. Because of the portable design, you can use it to make angled cuts with a miter gauge. Moreover, they can perform trimming tasks, beveled cuts, ripping, and many other tasks effectively. But if you don’t know how to use a Jobsite table saw, then you can’t get your desired results. Here are 5 tips for using a Jobsite table saw properly.

1.      Understand the Features of The Saw:

Usually, Jobsite table saws come with several features to make your work easier. So before using the tool, you should understand the features. For example, the blade guard feature will protect your hands, arms, and legs from the blade. Another feature of these saws is T-slots. They let a miter gauge slide in a straight line so that you can make angled cuts. Also, some table saws come with a bevel gauge to let you make bevel cuts effectively. So, you can learn about these features before using the tool for ease of use.

2.      Give Priority to Safety:

Safety isan essential point to consider whenever you are working with a tool. So, while operating the latest Jobsite table saw, make sure that the blade guard is on. Apart from that, you can use vacuums to remove the sawdust after cutting is completed. Also, wear safety goggles and take other safety precautions to reduce the chances of injuries.

3.      Use A Miter Gauge for Angled Cuts:

When you need to make angled cuts, consider using a miter gauge for better results. First, slide the miter gauge into the T-slot and then adjust it to the required angle. Then clamp the job to the miter gauge that you need to cut. Now, pass the miter gauge and make sure that the settings are correct, and the saw will not hit to clamps, screws, or bolts. If everything is correct, then bring the miter gauge to its position and turn on the saw. This way, you can make the cuts accurately.

4.      Cutting Complicated Grain:

Usually, wood pieces that are dried unevenly or contain knots will bend while ripping. They will bend outwards during the cutting process. In this case, you can clamp a straight board against the fence, ensuring that the end is at the center of the blade. This will prevent the wood from push backs against the blade.

5.      Use Push Sticks:

Push sticks are ideal for making proper cuts by keeping your hands safe from the blade. If you notice that your hands are getting nearer to the blade, then you can consider using push sticks. For small and light works, you can use a long and narrow push stick, and for heavy works, you can use a flat push stick for better results.

Conclusion:

To get the preferred results, you need to use the Jobsite table saw properly. Otherwise, you may make the cuts wrongly or get injured during the operation. We hope the above tips will help you to use the Jobsite table saw efficiently.
