5 Myths About Cleaning

by Lisa Header Writer

Keeping a house clean is crucial to provide a healthy environment, where everybody can live happily ever after. However, many housewives get obsessed with all the house cleaning thing which sometimes leads to misbeliefs and waste of time. And that’s how myths come out. Here are the top 5 myths about cleaning you can hear around.

“The house is full of stuff and I can’t clean clean it thoroughly.”

Your home is full of stuff you don’t need? It’s your fault that you didn’t throw away (or donate) those old candle holders you don’t need anymore. Decluttering and getting rid of the items you don’t need is the main purpose of the spring cleaning. So, consider a re-cleaning and get rid of all the stuff you haven’t used for more than six months or those you won’t need anymore. This way you will free your home of the clutter and the daily cleaning will be a less time-consuming task.

“I’ll handle the housework better than any other of the family members.”

Do you think so? If you are a dedicated housewife, who doesn’t have anything else to do, then ok. However, I doubt it. Women nowadays go to work, have a social life, dream about anything else but house cleaning. However, many think that no one could handle the house cleaning better than themselves. Here’s a light: try to involve your family members in the housework for a week. and show them how you want it to be done. This way they will learn how much efforts and time you spend keeping this place maintained and will know that walking inside with shoes is a bad thing.

“Plants with dusty leavers cannot breathe.”

Particularly, this is right. However, you don’t need to dust every plant’s leaves one by one every day. It’s enough to do it once a month using a damp cloth or a light shower.

“Frequent vacuuming will damage the carpet.”

There’s no such thing. The dirt and grime, soiled in the carpet’s fibres is capable of damaging it permanently, causing wear and tear to show in less time. Vacuuming can only save your carpet more time to look good. However, you should be careful with the attachments - use proper ones depending on your carpet’s type. Also, don’t forget to mop kitchen, bathroom and other uncarpeted floor in the evening to avoid spreading dirt to other rooms.

“Undone dishes in the sink get dirtier in time.”

This is true. The more the dirty dishes sit in the sink undone, the dirtier they get, thanks to the microbes. Dirty dishes are full of those, which love water and need it to multiply, so you can imagine what happens. Of course, this doesn’t mean you have to rush to wash them immediately, just decrease the soaking time to one hour and everything will be okay.

Keeping a house clean and tidy is a tough job, no matter what people say. However, you don’t have to be a cleaning maniac to achieve the cleanliness needed for a healthy environment. All you have to do is to set your standards and follow them strictly. Otherwise, just hire someone to do it for you. And no, it’s not expensive as many think and you can see it here. You can hire one of the professional cleaners Fantastic Cleaners provide in Holloway, if you live in the area, and let him or her handle all the housework.

hygiene is important for everyone (personal, clothes, furniture, bedroom and kitchen and toilet is very important), and I love a woman who likes to make things dirty and untidy turned clean and tidy, as it is the figure of a housewife
