New York City is renowned for its world-class shopping, but less so for its malls. The city is dense, spaces are small, and it doesn’t seem like the sort of place you’d find a giant, sprawling shopping complex—but they do exist.

Really, shopping in New York all comes down to a matter of preference and persistence. If you look hard enough, and know where to start, you'll find what you're looking for. Luckily, this list of the 5 Great Shopping Malls in New York.


5. Cross County Shopping



Cross County Shopping Center, also known as Cross County Center, is an open-air shopping mall located in Yonkers, New York, United States. The mall hosts over 100 stores and restaurants, including anchor stores Macy's, Old Navy and Sears, and is managed by Macerich. 


4. Queens Place



Queens Place is an urban shopping mall in Queens, New York. Just northwest of the larger Queens Center, it is located on Queens Boulevard in the neighborhood of Elmhurst. The building was constructed in 1965 as Macy's and was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill


3. Rotterdam Square Mall



Viaport Rotterdam mall, formerly Rotterdam Square, is a shopping mall located in Rotterdam, New York, United States. The mall has an area of 900,000 square feet on one level with 58 stores, a 450-seat food court as well as restaurants, an aquarium, entertainment center, and a seven-screen Sony-Loews Cineplex, now operated by Zurich Cinemas.
