3 Ways to Fail in Converting website traffic

by Christina Mayer Marketing Executive of Visitorz.co.uk

Conversion? Shouldn’t you just let it out and force give your traffic some hard time? Agree? Then you must read this procedure here!

With all sources of traffic today and the wide given knowledge of conversion, it’s not that difficult to transform your website traffic to paying customers. You could just simply give them everything that they want until they pay to your website. All given resources are readily available across the internet and website traffic can be extracted from different website. You can also buy traffic from traffic suppliers on the internet. That means website conversion is pretty much achievable, right? Completely right!

But what’s fun in conversion? In order to experience the real hardship in marketing, you must be able to do things the hard way. You must know how to plead for your website viewers to convert. You must know to deny their demands and let them go to you. You don’t probably need them, right? They should need you, and that’s it! So why should you contribute to conversion when it can go with the natural process of force purchasing. This is why I scrambled on these 3 ways on to fail in converting website traffic to sales.

1. Remember, marketing is all about earning money – Why should you mind your targeted traffic? You came into this field of business because of money. You came into this business to earn as much as you can. You didn’t enter this business to please others, right? It should be you, always you, and priorities should all be centered to you.

2. Give them a hard time in subscribing – If they really want to follow your brand, they must prove it by facing hardships. A true blue loyal brand fan should do everything for his brand. Do they really want the latest news and information about your brand, then let them scour through 30 site pages before they can discover your sign-up page. And don’t forget, you must know all about them. Gone are the days when you only require their names and their e-mail ads. You must know everyone connected to them  (mother, father, brother, their school, their location, favorites). And of course, to confirm that they aren’t bots, you must give them super complicated CAPTCHA that only “humans” can identify. Even though it’s not converting website traffic, it will stop bots from bothering you!

3. Offer false hopes and don’t meet their expectations – They ordered 100 pairs of your products and you promised yes, but OOPS! Seems like you can’t meet their expectation with only 50 stocks left in your business. Oh well, at least you’ll only fail 50 customers. Those other 50 can still be loyal to your brand. Don’t mind the other 50, you can quickly replace them.

Marketing is all about yourself. Conversion is not needed. They can simply buy your stuff whenever they want, right?  If you’re tough enough, you could simply follow these 3 ways to fail in converting website traffic to sales. But if you want to convert as high as possible, then I guess you could contradict my tips and do it on the opposite manner! In that way, you’ll get faster and easier conversion rate (which isn’t thrilling).
