Releasing Public Pressures with the Electronic Cigarette

Health has recently seemed to have taken a back seat to other issues such as finances and global events and this has proved catastrophic to the general public. Major health concerns such as cancer and obesity top the list of health concerns and one of the most debated issues relates to smoking. While many would like to argue that the decision of whether to smoke or not is a matter of private decision, when smokers choose to smoke in any environment outside of their home, they turn the topic into a social issue. Not many have an issue with an individual's right to smoke until it begins to infringe upon their right to have a healthy environment.

The electronic cigarette has recently begun to grow in popularity as more smokers educate themselves on the many benefits that can be discovered from this smoking alternative. A major reason that smoking has received such a split debate on the topic is that there never existed any realistic alternatives that supplied a smoker with options. Much like prohibition, a full ban on smoking would be ineffective as there are no other options, much like alcohol. The electronic cigarette supplies a smoker with a real alternative to the smoking habit that will fulfill all of the experiences they receive from the smoking habit without the social threats that exist with traditional smoking.

This is made possible when you look at the many features that can be found with almost any electronic cigarette. The device is in the shape of the traditional cigarette so that the smoker notices little difference between the cigarette and the electronic device. When activated, the filters supply a liquid that is vaporized containing not only the feel of traditional smoking but the taste, when that is your selected flavor. Of course, while that vapor does contain nicotine to satisfy any addiction that may exist, it does not contain tar or carcinogens. The removal of these cancer causing elements not only increases your opportunity to live a healthier life, it removes any risk which may have existed with traditional cigarettes.

Many smokers would like to stick to the conviction that the choice to smoke is a private matter but when you knowingly release tar and carcinogen in the air for all to absorb, it becomes a public health risk. The electronic cigarette represents an ideal solution for the smoking fan where they can still enjoy the smoking experience while discovering ways to eliminate the health risks to them and the public.
