the 1st military foundation on the earth where three powers – Army, Navy and
Air Force – of the defence are prepared together.
2. It began working as JSW (Joint
Services Wing) on 1Jan, 1949 at the Indian Armed Forces (then called as Indian Military
Academy) in the Dehradun before its introduction as National Defence Academy on
16 Jan, 1955. This "migration" is called as Operation “Badli”.
3. Joint Services Wing was
housed in Camps in which during World War II, prisoners of Italian are kept.
