The Ultimate Home Alarm Alert System And Warning System

by Michael Pike
Don't be stunned when I make the comment that the very best home alarm that anyone could have is simply, a dog.

It seems too simple, does it not? And I can almost hear you thinking of all the reasons why it may not work and why a dog is not the best home alarm to have. What if it stays asleep when a burglar arrives? What if the perpetrator throws some meat over your fence and befriends your dog? In any of those scenarios, a burglar would have easy access. Yes? Of course.

We need to start with the basics. Firstly, the dog. It needs to be trained never to take food from anyone but its owner. Any dog-training school worth its salt will be able to teach your dog to do this. As far as staying asleep while the burglar creeps into your house - that is a possibility. However, this can be easily counteracted by getting an alert breed of dog which barks long before you even hear a sound. And if you have more than one dog, that's even better. A small alert, nervous breed to sound the alarm and wake up the bigger dogs from their sleep into attack mode.

It may be best to allow your smaller alert hounds to sleep inside. That way, no one can interfere with them but you. The moment they hear a sound in the garden in the dead of night, they will probably awake you with their yapping and likewise awake your larger dogs to frighten the living daylights out of the burglar outside. There is just no way that you will be able to carry on sleeping with the sharp yapping of little dogs in your house even if you are wearing wax earplugs. That yapping sound is the one which drives neighbors crazy. It is pitched high enough to wake the dead and it certainly will not stop at your earplugs.

Alerted by the unusual barking of your dogs, it will be easy for you to realize that something is seriously amiss. Have a plan ready. You need to immediately alert your security company by means of a buzzer attached to your wall. They will in turn call the police. Don't hesitate to call 999 as well. Someone is on your property that should not be there and by sneaking around or even attempting to break in, have revealed that their intentions are bad. Do all you can to protect yourself but don't be surprised if the intruder or intruders have already been laid low by your dog or dogs.

The best home alarm to have in my candid opinion, is a dog and I am not budging on that.
