Here Is All About Network Marketing

by Lonnie Bradley
First, it's important to understand what network marketing is. Sometimes, it is called multi-level marketing. Network marketing started around fifty years back, in fact, the first major modern network marketing company was formed as early as in 1959. It was formed with a new business vision, by business partners who believed people should be paid according to the benefits to the company continued to get from the original work.

While this seemed a laughable idea at first, eventually it did work and today, network marketing is synonymous with the tune of billion dollar turnovers. This process is legal; there are laws and regulations in place. However, it is also true that many companies posing as network marketing companies are fake, and may not be conforming to the rules – so it's important to be able to distinguish the real ones from the fake ones.

Network marketing gives one the opportunity to have a residual income, it uses the power of exponential growth and it is different from pyramid selling. The goods and services are sold by distributors to people outside the organization – and this means a net cash flow, from outside to inside. So in a properly run network marketing company, everybody wins – the cash is divided among everyone, so everyone has the opportunity to get rich.

Leadership is not controlled – regardless of the position, anyone can progress to the level they want to, and promotion depends on merit. Also, it is important to know that most of the network marketing companies out there do not advertise – the products are sold based on demonstrations, recommendations, and even low prices. And everyone must start at the same level, no matter how much initial wealth or education they have.

So how can you ensure that you choose a good network marketing  company? Choose one that is regulated by the Direct Selling Association – this means the company is established and regulated, and even successful. Ensure that the company you are choosing fulfils all the obligations of your country's requirements.

Other prerequisites include: a training scheme (to show you how to go about your job), good, sensibly valued products, an established track record of the company (at least for the last five years), and a good residual income through the company's products. Remember there are loads of network marketing companies out there, so do your researches, and look around to find what you're comfortable with.

You can make lots of money through this kind of work, if you do it right. There is, however, a slight chance that you might lose money. In any case, it's better to be aware of the risks, go ahead, and do some proper work and give some good effort. As for your chances of success, it depends. Some people can really strike it rich, and some people can't. Nothing is guaranteed, so be ethical in your work, go about it properly, and try your best. It's not a matter of luck; it's rather a matter of acquiring the necessary skills and using them to the best advantage.
