Some very good ideas to get high traffic

by Dave Nettles Niche Marketer If you want immediate exposure for your affiliate link, or your blog / website that reviews or promotes your program, then a good way of achieving this is by paying other webmasters to include your link on their website.

You could purchase text links or banner ads, for example, but one thing you must weigh, is whether you are getting value for money. First go to Alexa and type in the website's URL, to see where they are ranked in the traffic rankings, with no.1 obviously being the highest.

Then look at where on the page, or indeed which page your link will appear on and try and estimate how many clicks you could potentially receive. This is not always easy to do and sometimes you may just have to pay for a test run to find out.

For optimum results you also want to target advertising space on websites whose target audience would potentially be interested in your / network marketing opportunity. This sounds obvious but you'd be amazed at just how many people advertise on completely non-related websites. So in this case you could look for websites whose content covers subjects such as business opportunities, working from home, work at home Ladies, etc.

So where can you buy advertising space on websites?

There are various places. One site that I have used a lot in the past that acts as a marketplace between buyers and sellers is Adbrite. You can search through thousands of websites all selling advertising space, ranging from small sites charging a few dollars to huge high-traffic sites charging a few thousand dollars. With such a variety of sites available, and prices to suit any budget you should find a few suitable sites to advertise on.

There are other sites that sell text links. Text Link Brokers is probably the most popular one. They offer links from thousands of websites again ranging from relatively small websites to some of the most visited sites on the internet.

One other place that I want to mention where you are likely to get the most value for money is through Ebay. Just type in “text links”, for example, in the search box, and you should find numerous sellers selling text links and advertising space. If you look hard enough you can find some real bargains.

For example, in the past I've bought text links from a PR6 site (PR stands for Page Rank and is Google's ranking out of 10 based on the quantity and quality of links pointing to a website) . This link was for 3 months, and was on a very popular related site. I got a ton of traffic from this link, and also benefited from higher search engine rankings because I had a high PR link pointing to my website (more details can be found in the upcoming Search Engine Optimization section).
