The Dumb Arse Partners - A True Fairy Tale Story
Yesterday, a wonderful horse named California
Chrome won the Kentucky Derby, horse racing's
most coveted win in the US.
The owners of the horse called themselves
the "Dumb Arse Partners" because they
invested a mere 8000.00 in a breeding mare who
lost all but one race.
She became the Mother of California Chrome.
Everyone thought the two partners were
clueless about racing.
They were two working stiffs not to the
manor born for horse racing-no blue
blood ran through their veins.
They hired a 77 year old trainer to train
California Chrome who was called over
the hill.
It turns out that...
This unlikely gaggle of owners and
trainer had a horse on their hands
who refused to lose.
California Chrome came into the Derby
off 4 stunning wins and went on to win
the derby in convincing style.
There is a lesson for us all in the
Dumb Arse Partners Story.
They took the road less traveled.
They followed their gut and their hearts.
They did a little research.
They look at the breeding history of
the mother of California Chrome whose
name was "Love of The Chase" and they
liked what they saw.
While everyone else was laughing at them
and calling them "Dumb Arse"...
They took the world for a ride yesterday
and ended up with the laugh last and
a money making horse that will pay
them back thousands and thousands fold.

You say ," Yes I can"
