Affordable Retainers was co-founded by Ann, a single mother of three boys who all had braces to straighten their teeth and give them a beautiful smile. Despite all the effort to get those beautiful smiles, her boys were constantly losing their retainers by misplacing them, throwing them in the trash at the school cafeteria, or leaving them around the house for the dog to chew up. Spending anywhere from $250 for each replacement retainer to $500 for a complete set, at the orthodontist office where she had already spent thousands of dollars for her children’s braces, Ann needed another option. Ann reached out to an orthodontist with a passion for public health and giving back to the community. After visiting this orthodontist’s state-of-the-art office with in-house laboratory technicians, Affordable Retainers
was launched.
