Julie Martinez was raised in Minnesota, the youngest of 6 siblings. She developed a love for the breed through her Grandfather, Clifford Schlereth, who always had German bred German Shepherds throughout her childhood. This is where her love for the German Shepherd began and grew into a life long passion for the breed. Julie began training dogs at 9 years of age, winning local contests for trick training and obedience work as a young child. Julie was educated at St. John the Baptist School,
