Manta Cares was born from our team's personal experiences with cancer. Our founder Samira was diagnosed with breast cancer a week after turning 30. Molly, a founding team member, was diagnosed with breast cancer at 32, and joined forces with Samira to help improve the cancer experience for other patients and their families. Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Doug Blayney, was a clinical oncologist for 45+ years. Every member of our team has been impacted by cancer as a patient, caregiver, survivor or oncologist. By bringing together lived experiences with a strong scientific foundation, our team brings a unique combination of humanity and science to every tool and resource we create. We are so grateful for the opportunity to channel our own experiences, and those of our community, into ways to help other patients and families who will hear the life-changing words, "You have cancer."
