Think about this going into the New Year. . Hey folks, a few more days and it is 2008!! Just wanted to share a bit about being positive and negative. In my mlm business you do get a lot of negative remarks about scams, selling and family involvement. How your family is going to not talk to you anymore etc. I myself never wanted to get involved in mlm and its hype. My former boss got me into Quickstar (former amway) and I said repeatedly it was not for me but gave in to his salestalk because he was my boss and I must say the dishwasher liquid was good. I never got anywhere and it only cost me money. I met with all the millionaires but never could get my heart into it because I can not sell what I do not believe in (except for the dishwasher liquid, it was good, I believed in it and I sold a bit but not any of the other products) and I am not a salesman. So  a year and a few months and a few thousand dollars later I had the courage to say I quit Q and mlm altogether. A year later I quit my boss too and found a much better job. I love my present job and get a good wage (double from my last) but I still do not feel it is enough to get my family and myself a good retirement. I have been doing a lot of internet stuff and html (it relaxes me and it is fun, you type a few letters and code and a webpage is made, you see the results of your work right away). Very rewarding and good for the brain but no pay. Then an old school friend of mine contacted me by email (had not had contact since 10  years) and it looked like mlm to me. I ignored it. Do not need any of that stuff, you digg? Then he came by my work a few months later and we talked about old times and work and his mlm business. I tried to ignore that part because mlm is bad and not for me. Months went by and somehow we met at my place, honestly I do not know what sparked that but he was there. We talked about old times, family, our parents and my present situation. My present situation is good. He gave me this box and I thought, oh no, here we go again. I remembered it was the same opportunity he emailed me about. He gave me a brochure and a CD. I am thinking Quickstar all over again. Trying to not be negative, this is an old school buddy, you do not want to look like a jerk. And I know he is a smooth talker. Since it was free I took the box and swallowed the pills for a week. After 4 days I actually felt a difference and when he phoned me a week later how it was going I had to think what to say. Should I lie (negative) and say I did not feel anything or should I be honest(positive) and tell him what I felt. I said: "Gee John, I actually could notice a difference; it is like you said; I have more energy, sleep better and am less stressed at work. So I was being honest and told him what I felt, knowing I was going to be back into mlm. This time it was different. I knew the product worked, I am believing in it so I can sell it. So I signed up and started yes, selling. It is so much easier when you know it works from experience. Now, where to get customers. So very quietly I started promoting, put up a note on the bulletin board at work. It got taken down the next day. Thats a negative. So, I put up 2 positives. An ad in a magazine that gets delivered for free at work and an online ad. The day my ad got published I went to the customer lounge (where I work) and picked up the magazine to check the ad. One of the customers caught me and asked if I was escaping my hectic office. I told him about the ad and he wanted to know more. I gave him a sample box of the product right there and he phoned me a week later and said he never felt better and he was able to sleep again, so if I could get him another box. Man, was I happy and positive!I did sell him a months supply and then another months. I was waiting for his next order and he showed up at my work place. He was there all night waiting for his vehicle. Finally when he left I said: "Hey Mark, need another box or should I put you on autoship? He said, "No I am fine, I have been cutting down on it". Why, I said. Well, I got real sick and got those cramps, so I thought it might have something to do with the product, he said. Really I said, I had something similar, had exactly the same reaction you did and cut down to half a dose and all was fine, then increased to the regular dose and here I am; trying to turn a negative into a positive. And that being a negative I did not mention it up front which was my biggest mistake. It was a natural reaction of your body getting rid of all the toxins. I did not hear from him ( and I did not contact him since you always have to be carefull when it comes to your regular job customers) untill he phoned me 3 weeks later and asked me to put him on autoship. I asked him how come he changed his mind. He said he did some investigating online and found out that a lot of people have the same effect but also confirmed the product was a proven- and patented one and worked. I was out there at his place ( an hours away) at his convenience and signed him up as my first paying auto ship customer and never looked back. And Mark is telling all his family and friends. Now that is my story about being negative and positive. When you have something that really works you do not have to be ashamed of it. Oh, like I am not trying to sell you anything, but my success story started here: http://liveagoodlife.mymaxgxl.com/
