The way to Be Non-Weight Bearing Immediately after Surgery
So you have talked with all your orthopaedic surgeon
and they have said you have to be non-weight bearing for a period of weeks after the surgery. What does non-weight bearing really mean, and what options have you for getting around?
The word non-weight bearing refers to restrictions positioned on you immediately after surgery. This means that you can not put the surgically repaired foot on the ground with any weight at all, not even for a second or two whether standing or while seated.
