Lipstick on a Pig
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Thomas A. Edison
It is hard not to look at your online business affairs as full fledge hog that takes and takes never giving back.
For every online success you will have many times more online blunders, time wasted, money lost, many more pigs… Sometime you just need to put a little lipstick on your pig and move on.
The truth is “Many of life’s failures are experienced by people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.†Thomas A. Edison.
The way I see it all we need is a collective 10,000 mistakes to make one giant Light Bulb success.
This area is about dressing up your pig and taking him to market.
Lipstick on a pig is a place to share your mistakes so we don’t all have to make them.

So Val,
You discovered that misery loves company - or you new that all along, lol.
I used the back button many times to retrieve lost posts and now I have a PayPal Virutal Card for my online purchases - each number is different.
Great suggestions, Guys

Hi everyone, I've made the same mistake as Graham and I'm sure many others have and I have a tip for you all to keep it from ever happening again.
Do not use your personal credit cards for those kinds of offers.
Get yourself a $20 prepaid Visa or Mastercard once a month or whenever you need it and use that for all your trial offers.
When its used up buy another one, DO NOT refill it or they can just take whatever money is in it. Just buy another one when you need it.
If you do a lot of the

P.S.
Of course I do live on the other side of the world from most of you so by the time you start the day I’ve already lived it. Get your head around that one!
What that means is when it comes to making mistakes I’ve had more opportunity than you.

Come on folks, lift your game. I seem to be one of the few actually adding to our list of 10,000 mistakes around here. That means either you are not doing ANYthing (except maybe admiring the pig) or you’re afraid to admit them.
Any way mistake # …..+2 I learned to type during my time in the Army (about the only thing of value I did learn) As a result I type like I (used to) live. Fast with lots of mistakes. As a result this program can’t keep up and I end up spending

Thanks for the suggestion Mick. Tried that, but I still struggle with all these tabs at the top of IE, I'm so used to opening an entire new window~ it IS hard to teach an old hairless dog new tricks.
BTW, my father was known as Mick, (althought his name was Arthur John, go figure) my kids called him Pop were you by any chance related? lol

Quick solution to your issue, Graham.
If you ever make a post while not logged in, don't panic!
Just back arrow your browser to return to the previous page (the one where you were posting - do NOT reselect the page from the menu)
Your post will probably be there. Select it and copy it to clip board (Ctrl+c)
Login and go back to the page you were posting on.
Paste your text in the box and retype your subject line (if you had one)
Post it.
That can save you a lot of headaches.

How that Graham brought us back, I did have one of those scam outfits send me free CD's that I had to use my credit card to pay for the shipping.
Then, they start billing me for monthly subscriptions for 100$ a month. The bank said they could not do anything with these people because I gave them my info.
I never accepted anything free on line before and never again. So, I did learn a lesson.
Is that pig ready for roasting yet? Real clever!

When we relive past mistakes, we empower them. That's the last thing I want!
It is better to bless the lesson learned rather than to curse the mistake made.
Kill the pig before it eats you out of house and home and enjoy the roast, but don't ever talk about the pig again once it is eaten. Just flush it!
Then work on your next meal ticket, because one day, unless you start talking about that pig again, you will sit down to a banquet.

Make sure you are actually logged into ApSense before you post to anywhere, I had to do the previous post twice because I didn't realise I wasn't logged in until I tried to submit my post!!!

Seems to me we are all so taken with the graphic that we have lost the purpose of this group. I'll do my bit to bring it back on track.
Be wary of the $1 introductory offers.
About a month ago I took up a $1 for the first month offer. I went to the site and had a good look around, downloaded a bit of stuff and promptly forgot about it. No reminders, no "buy this' type of hype that apparently is what the word newsletter really means. Yesterday, (which is today for most of you if you ca

Hi Valerie,
Great article!
It's kind of funny - we have a product here that was once considered to be a waste product and very difficult to get rid of. It's made by grinding up waste wood from logging and building demolition.
The pulp mills found out that if they suspended it on a current of air, it made excellent fuel for firing boilers to create electrical power. There is now an almost unlimited market for it.
The product is called...
Wait for it...
Hog!
God bless,
Dave

Good internet business should help you grow your lead list.
If you still have not earn 1 cent from that internet business, you maybe have built one list value as $$$$. If not, leave it and try some new ones.

We all spend a little time in the pig pen before we find that it is not the place we want to be!
For folks like myself, the best lessons have been learned through my mistakes. I'm sure mistake avoidance will mean the loss of lessons learned as well!
How the h*ck did you come up with ... "Lipstick on a pig"? or dare I ask?
Nothing like added "color" to a "discussion"! lol

That is the best quote i've ever heard! I've got to remember to tell my 11 year old grandson because he is so exacting and wants to not make mistakes!
