How do you get Ebooks out there?

Ok so there are loads of e-books out there and you can download lots of them and sell them to make a profit. But how do you actually do that? I have never seen a safelist ad come out with an attachment to download an e-book. Usually you just click a link and it downloads from wherever in the universe? I know this is probably a really silly question but I have just seen a really good one and was wondering if I went ahead with this, how would I market it? thanks.

Thanks very much Eric and David. I guess the problem with that is that I don't have a web host, LOL.
However, there are some free ones out there that I can try, so that is not the end of the world. Don't want to pay for one, cos the e-book I have is free so don't want to pay to give away free stuff. By the way, if anyone wants it, you will have to mail me and get it the old fashioned way. Good grief, that could prove a lot of work, haha.

If you buy an eBook with re-sell rights it often comes with a pre-formatted sales page. You will need to upload this page to your web host together with a copy of the eBook.

When you set up your payment processor (Lets say PayPal) you can have it set to follow through to a download page at the end of payment (Fully automated process)...

WHERE you market the eBook would depend on the topic of the eBook. Targeting your audience will result in more sales.
