Hello everyone.First of all,  I want to thank you all for joining to eMarketingPlanet group. 
To begin with, I would like to ask you what do you expect from an online business directory? Is it enough just to add your name and contact info? or you expect more?

I have no idea what a business directory is about. I heard it was a concept popular a few years ago, but it's not mentioned much in current Internet marketing literature.

What is it about? Is this for advertising purposes only ?

First, I would check out what the dierctory has to offer.
Second, I would check out how well my topics of interest are represented.
And third, is it worldwide active or just regional, e.g. USA
