Sure,
I have two colts. One is a 16 month Halflinger filly ( A halflinger is a small version of a draft horse from the mountains of Italy) and a Quarter Horse filly that is coming up on two years old.
Becca Red (the quarter horse) is a dark chestnut sorrel ( A dark red mane and dark brownish red coat) that is green broke, so I can ride her but she still gets a bit strong willed and decides she can try and throw me off every once in a while. She hasn't done it yet, but she keeps trying to catch me off guard.
Minnie Da Mino (the halflinger) is a dappled palomino with long bushy mane and tail that are almost pure white. I will post some pictures when I get time if anyone wants to see them.

Hi Mark,

do you enjoy traveling and do you have a preferred destination?

Hi BJ,
For about four years after I got out of the Navy, I drove tractor trailer rigs cross country before I settled on what I wanted to be when I grew up. I went to college to learn engineering and after two years decided that I should work in that field to see if it really was what I wanted to do. Once I actually started working in the field, I focused my attention on the computer design packages that were just starting to come out. So instead of becoming an engineer, I went down the road to CAD management and digital design.

That field makes it really easy to travel and I have been across the US four or five times (hence the long intro). So, yes I enjoy traveling and did quite a bit in my earlier years.

As for my preferred destination - That would be Heaven, but until I get there, I have found the Durango, Colorado area to be as close to that as possible here on earth.

Mark,

What would you say is the most dangerous thing you've ever done?

Hi Penny,
That would probably have to be Joining Apsense !
Just kidding!!!

The most dangerous thing I have done would be what I did in the Navy, I was a Fire Control Technician working on the Sparrow III missile systems. When under attack, my position would be on the top deck controlling the targeting system for the missile launchers. Usually one of the first areas targeted during an air attack since it was located right next to the control tower of the ship I was on.

Hi Cheryl,
Finally found this thread again! As far as the one moment that sticks with me in my Naval career was when we had just had a new Lt. JG appoointed to our ship and while I was working on the guidance system he came up and put his hand on my shoulder and leaned on me to see what I was doing.
While this may seem to be innoculous and innocent in it's ideal, it was actually a very dangerous thing to do. You see, I was working on a peice of equipment that had 14,000 volts running through it with a metal screwdriver adjusting the controls. One slip and touch the wrong spot on the circuit board and it could have launched the entire battery of missles (8 per battery) as well as electrocute him, myself and probably everyone within ten feet of us.
He should have known that the 3" wide red line painted around the DI was called a dead man line for a reason, only ONE person is supposed to be inside the line at any one time.

Glad to see you found it again. And I'm thinking LT JG is about the same as what we called a ButterBar. Meaning they knew absolutely nothing!
