Open Communication

CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS!

No matter what kind of relationship you are attempting to strengthen, open communication is the foundation building block that is most important of all!

Placing strategic advertising and community profiles anywhere you can to attract the right people you need to build a business is obvious, but how you communicate with these people and what value you offer them as an associate, is far more important in my opinion.

I am NOT talking about massive exposure (which is fine), but hand picking those who offer the most potential for mutual benefit and applying good common sense to polish up your connection any way you can. Taking the lead to provide value to further their agenda FIRST, is something anyone can do and it works.

Let me illustrate that with a very current example.

I created a couple of videos showing exactly how to create some of the modern splash pages with your own content, using free tools available online and making it simple enough anyone could get started and grow their skills as they practice.

You can see them here

Then I wrote a Press Release (blog post) and a few Wall Posts talking about it on IBO Toolbox.

I also posted a few ads on APSense (you may have seen), but the best serious responses I received came from Skype, so I attached an image to this article showing how I did that.

Skype has an often overlooked feature, that lets you add a notice to the Home Page all your contacts see when they logon. It's not a high quantity spot, but the quality is far greater than free advertising and if they do like what they see, it's one click to open a dialog with you to talk about it. I leave my status set to ready 24/7 (unless I am shooting a video and can't be disturbed), so even if I am not around, anyone can leave me a message that will NOT get lost in the email jungle.

It still blows my mind how many marketers fail to see the massive benefit Skype provides for FREE, or they leave their status offline most of the time and seldom even check back to see if anything is waiting for them. I get far more good referrals from Skype, than I ever do from email and it provides a solid communication channel, so I can help them become even better.

Some people fear they will be overwhelmed with people bothering them, but I am more than happy to be bothered with the very people that provide me more income and if I get the occasional thorn in my side, it's a couple of clicks to never hear from them again. I have been using Skype over 10 years and still keep it on all the time, so that should speak volumes about how valuable it is to me.

Notice what I post (contrary to most) is VALUE people can use. That is what opens more doors than blatant links ever will. The Internet has changed and we need to adapt to it, or be buried in an unmarked grave.

See you online!
