Anyway, when you want to plant something useful in your home garden, then don't forget about dill. Make sure to follow the tips in this article and successfully plant dill for your personal use. It is simple to plant grow in throughout the spring.

First of all, you have pick a suitable spot for your plant. Dill seeds require at least 6 hours of sun every day. You have t ensure that the place is not exposed to high winds, which may slow the growing process and even stop it. In early spring you can plant a seed of dill in ½ inch deep. Make sure to cover the seed with a layer of soil and place any additional seed 4 inches away from the previous one. This is enough space to develop healthy and undependable plants.

Now you have to inspect the dill seeds regularly and follow their development. In about two weeks after planting, you should see the plants emerging. At this point your have to place them 9 inches separate.

Four to six weeks after the planting you will be able to harvest the leaves of this herb. However, you will have your plant growing again after this initial harvest. When you spot the flower heads, then no more leaves will be produced from this plant. You have to remove the seeds from the flower heads and store them for planting later. Then it comes the final harvest, which should occur when the flower heads of the leaves turn brown.

Dill can be grown indoors as well as outdoors. However, professional garden maintenance companies in London always recommend an outdoor planting site. The natural habitat is always a preferred option, so take advantage of it if you can. Anyway, remember that dill doesn't like hot temperatures and if you are in a such climate, you will have difficulties to grow it. This is way most of the gardeners start it immediately after the last frost. When the danger of freezing pass, then you should grow dill to ensure maximum production.
