Selling vs. Telling
This is really a No Brainer, but not very wide spread in the Internet Marketing community. The basic concept revolves around the FACTS: Nobody Likes To Be SOLD Anything, but having someone tell you a better way to get what you want is often met with enthusiasm.
So why do you see so many web pages LOADED with flashing, whirling banners and more links than you can count?
The smart way is to follow the model high profile bloggers use to monetize their blogs. They simply REVIEW good useful products and services that just happen to pay them a commission if they get clicks on their links that result in sales.
The same concept can be applied no matter where you post content online, even here on APSense. You don't need to force your link up a new visitors nose, that just causes them nothing but severe pain and anguish that forces them to quickly find the red X in the corner.
Next time, try Telling instead of Selling.
