You always hear about Project Payday advertisers talk about how to market Project Payday on Craigslist. while there isn't generally a problem with this method, the main specific issue with promoting Project Payday on Craigslist is the program itself. As big as Project Payday is, you have to understand that Craigslist already knows about the Project Payday family and knows about the "job" posting issue, let alone the other programs out there on the internet.
None the less, you still have people promoting Project Payday as a "job" on Craigslist and still getting ghosted on there. Most of these methods are either outdated or just plain old myths to get you to join the program in the first place which is not a good way to get referrals especially bating people this way.
Everyone Is Looking For "Opportunity"
When someone is looking through Craigslist for a job, that is exactly what they are "positioned" to look for. It doesn't matter how sincere the promoter is trying to be when recruiting new sign ups, they are still deceiving people into joining the program just by the fact that you are posting in the job section and bating people into joining just to get that sign up.
You Won't Be Flagged If You Tell People It's A "Business"
That's the problem. Telling them that it's a business opportunity in the Customer Service section is just plain silly. But you hear a bunch of people telling you to do that in the job section. That is the quickest way to get flagged. What makes it worse is that people are telling you that you should post in the job section and actually post that you are looking for customer service reps who can set their own hours. That makes no damn sense. You can't set your own hours as a customer service rep because it's a job!
There are so many people getting flagged from Craigslist because they are doing exactly what these so called specialists are doing. To top it all off, the videos that you see on the internet about these tactics are not updated. Most of them are a year or so old. That is not going to help anyone's chances of getting in good with Craigslist.
Set Up Multiple Craigslist Accounts
This is the silliest one of them all. Craigslist has a fairly new rule now concerning phone verification. You now have to verify your phone number every month or so, or after a certain amount of posts. So that means, even if you were to use your mother's, girlfriend's, brother's, or Mickey Mouse's phone number, you still have to verify on your account again. This is not worth all that trouble just to get flagged several times.
Craigslist is not a STUPID site. They know what is happening and they are making more and more people jump through hoops without having to make any huge announcements about it. People are starting to find out for themselves about how crazy Craigslist is.
