If you happen to live and work in the United States and are not employed by the government, it's a pretty sure bet you have already paid a TON of money into the Social Security system, right?

I did years ago and now I am collecting, but when I think how much I had to put in just to scrape by when I retired, it makes me cringe. I can only feel sorry for those a decade or two behind me, but unfortunate for them I am going to spend their money anyhow.

Then I read about all the Ponzi Schemes and Pyramids online that people condemn, but isn't Social Security a Ponzi Scheme too? The young guys keep paying in so us old guys can collect.
