it gives them a sense of accomplishment somehow, also it helps them learn about perseverance while enjoying and having fun. but like any other things, they need to have it in moderation. And as for the parents, we need to guide them and always check if the things that they play and do are suited for their age and that it will not affect their overall everyday activity.

Some researchers say kids who play these video games improve in three areas: planning, organization, and flexible thinking. ... It's not clear that these gaming problem-solving skills carry over into daily life. And there's no evidence that so-called “train the brain” games can improve real-world skills.

Play allows children to acquire many skills that they will constantly use to continue to learn and understand the world around them. The application of the game allows intellectual, social, sensory, motor development and also promotes language learning.

Games are important not only for a child, but also for an adult. This is a modern way not only to relax, but also to learn something new (if we are talking about video games)

Having fathered 4 children, video games are a good babysitter for an hour a day. Over that and it’s harmful to the point of turning kids into mindless idiots

It’s true — there are concerns with online communication and other issues, but that’s why it’s even more important to be involved in a gamer kid’s life. In my own home, my xyz and I have maintained an open dialogue about online behaviour and balance. Now, years later, I know my younger xyz still games with his older brother, even though they’re over 300 miles apart. This melts my heart. Gaming has kept its connection close.

My advice isn’t just for parents. It’s also for grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles, godparents, good friends, school administrators and other relatives: Be curious.

Here’s a simple solution. Start a conversation with your gamer kid by asking them these three questions.

What games do you play?
Why do you enjoy playing those particular games?
Can I watch your game sometime?
If we don’t embrace gaming, we might lose connection with the people that we love the most.

it helps them to be creative one way or another but please let's guide them and as much as possible, if we can, as parents and/or guardians, let us be involved. Ask them about what they are playing, making sure that it's appropriate for them in a manner that they will not get offended. and if you can, ask them if you can try it and play it with them. it would be fun! but with limitations of course.
