Because it makes us even more beautiful and decorates us like a Christmas tree. The tree looks a lot more glamorous and special with more ornaments. I think guys are attracted to jewelry as well...like nice watches, diamond earrings, necklaces and bracelets. It's not just a woman thing but yes more popular amongst women.
