What profile photos increase click-through rates?

I would rather say A pic of the opportunity or Business you are in would actually help for one reason that you are trying to connect with like minded individuals who could probably find your business useful and the second best reason is it would also show them that you are genuinely interested to connect on a win win situation and not just connect to add your connections list and do nothing after that ... I dont think putting in the pics of chicks would impress me either ..Rather I would try to

Carol? I am afraid I have to disagree with that. I don't think animated GIFs will help. Personally I will be more likely to click-through if I think it's the user's real picture (yes, especially if it's a chick). So animated GIFs and stock pictures don't impress me
