What are some free ways of marketing your online business?

Tell a few people who tell a few people and so on, I know people say that doesn't work but it does for me. The leverage is nothing short of amazing.

Going for free marketing tools like free classified, traffic exchange, safelist mailing all are only waste of time and efforts.

Create your own blog with your product or articles. Post it to forums/article directories and create backlinks (It is cheaper at Fiverr dot com). Create separate pages for each product you promote and build a list.

In Facebook you can join ladders where you can gain free traffic to your fan page and site.
