I've just noticed the in the past week that Y'Tube will run 2 ads consecutively. Each still has the "Skip Ad" button. Now that YouTube viewership is up there's making some money!. It cost a lot to gear the Tube up!, Google lost money for years on it. Time to pay those bills baby! - Anna

Quite simply, it's double fees in Google's pockets and if the first half of the video hooked you, it means you will watch the ad so you can see the rest of the video.
