In between late 2018 and early 2019 youtube commenced displaying double advertisements which occur at the begin of the video. And the layout goes like this the first ad is generally skippable with 5 2d wait time and the subsequent advert is normally unstoppable. That is this kind of pain for the visitors and youtube began to put into effect this in india during mid-2019.

I'm not sure but I've never seen double ads on the MintDice YouTube channel I've only see good content there.

Quite simply, it's double fees in Google's pockets and if the first half of the video hooked you, it means you will watch the ad so you can see the rest of the video.

I've just noticed the in the past week that Y'Tube will run 2 ads consecutively. Each still has the "Skip Ad" button. Now that YouTube viewership is up there's making some money!. It cost a lot to gear the Tube up!, Google lost money for years on it. Time to pay those bills baby! - Anna
