Improper working of keyboard?

Some times , a keyboard works unexpectedly. When a caps lock is on, small letters are typed and when caps lock is off, caps are typed.
Is it an indication of virus or is it some program monitoring the pc or is it a browser related issue or may it happen due to some extensions installed on the browser?

If the keyboard has illuminated LED indicators for Num Lock, try rebooting the computer and see if pressing these keys toggles the indicator on and off.If the keyboard is working as the computer is booting up, something in Windows is preventing the keyboard from working.
