Depends on what SEO action you did.
For example if you subscribe a new page to Google "fetch as Google" you can watch results in few minutes.
If you do same for already indexed in Google, will take 1-2 days.
If you build backlinks and these backlinks are ok for Google, may take around 2 weeks.
If you do social citations the effect is not much noticiable and can take 1-2 months.
If you change content of any indexed page in Google, on 24-48 hours after the boot pass you will notice the changes in

Depending on the scale and complexity of your website and the keyword competition, it could take somewhere from a dozen weeks to more than 6 months.

It will take what you work on your project. If you do all the proper link building and post unique content on all off-page activity you will definitely get result on 2-3 months. DO PPC and Email marketing if you want fast traffic to your website.

SEO is all about the optimization but its only depend on your strategy, it can take 6 months if your doing only posting and if you are following the good strategy then you can get the result within 2 months.
