Do you promote a product or service even if you're not using it?

I prefer to use the product myself, understand the features, benefits of the program. Then only I promote the program.

I also believe that you need to use or try what you are promoting.. Thanks for the answers guys ^_^

I think that you can't speak honestly about a product what you're not using. Especially if you want to sell it...

It is better to promote products which you use yourself. But as an affiliate you are always ready to promote products you are not using which are genuine.

well, today i just know Magento from my collegue. But as i view it's backshower, it's a bit little difficult to use.

I can`t promote something if I don`t use it.

I value my reputation too much to promote something I have not used myself. Even then, you can get something that turns sour and need to contact your friends and admit that you made a mistake.

Oh yes, you're free to promote a product if you're not using it. But to be able to derive maximum profits from that affiliate product or service, it would be appropriate if you use it yourself. It's only then that you can give a sound and convincing review, from the user's point of view.
