Do you add friends in Facebook groups?

If my friends ask me about the group. Whats group all about. And i let them to add them selves.

Yes I find a group regarding to my niche and actually I tell people to add me giving them little information and if they want to find out more they can add. I hate using fanpage though since many guru trying to get low bid, they sent fake clicks to competitor facebook ad.

Someone suggested I add only prospects for my business, since there is a limit of 5,000 friends. I do a mix of both. I'm not even close to 5,000 friends yet on Facebook, I am too busy at APSense. :)

I tend to add friends if they ask, but I never go looking for them. I would only delete a friend that I had added if they started spamming or were otherwise unpleasant. I don't think it does any harm in having a lot of friends as it adds interest and also a possibility to network..

I used to add friends to facebook groups, but I've stopped doing that. Groups can be very distracting if it's not controlled properly (Spam, push selling, etc). @Ross: The change on facebook is a plus, and there are some very good concepts to use in promoting your brand.

For any kind of good marketing sometimes I try to add friends in facebook groups. Specially business promotion, technology and greener work for me and also for all.

The problem I see, Chuks, is that there's a limit to the number of groups we can join on Facebook, I think it's 300, it seems a big number, but it can be reached pretty fast. When you reach the limit, and you want to join another one, of course you can leave some groups, but for some reason, FB wants you to leave more groups than you need to join new ones, some kind of punishment maybe?

Make sure you let your friends know about the group before you add them. Some friends feel bad to see they've been added. As for me, so long as the group is related to internet marketing i will not feel bad.
